Pastor Hazel

Pr. Hazel Ramirez Marroquin was appointed as Pastor of Olney SDA Church in January 2025. Pr. Hazel's passion is sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ, motivating and empowering others to live up to their full potential in Christ, and simply reminding everyone of the unconditional love of Jesus. Earlier, she was the Pastor for Congregational Care at Sligo Seventh-day Adventist Church in Maryland.

Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, Pr. Hazel has served in various ministerial and leadership capacities throughout the years. Before transitioning to pastoral ministry, she worked as the Public Relations Director for Jesus 101 Biblical Institute.

She holds a degree in Business Administration and Accounting and worked for many years in the corporate world before answering a call from God to deepen her ministry. She then completed a degree in Theology from Southwestern Adventist University and has a Master’s degree in Pastoral Ministry/ Counseling from Andrews University.

She enjoys traveling, exploring the outdoors, and spending quality time with her family and friends. She and her husband, Gilberto, have two adult sons.
